Pinot Noir and Syrah, from a neighbouring vineyard in the Macedon Ranges. The fruit is from a failed grafting block of Pinot Noir onto Syrah/Shiraz, hence it is picked in the a single pass and the fruit is therefore blended as its being picked. The wine was made and treated like a Pinot Noir to ensure the tannins are fine, elegant and easy drinking. Natural ferment, time on lees in old barriques prior to bottling.
