Edmeades creates bold, intense Zinfandels with unique character and personality using grapes from the rugged coastal mountains of Mendocino County. This Zinfandel opens with concentrated aromas of baking spices, like cinnamon and cloves, which transition into notes of blackberries, blackcurrants and dried sage. It has a smooth, rounded texture with a focused, lush expression of fruit. Soft, well-intergrated tannins enhance the wines richness, while a bright acidity keeps the finish fresh and lively.
